This Privacy Policy describes how YeSolar ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password through Supabase Auth. We do not collect your name unless you choose to provide it.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including:
- Property addresses you submit for roof scans
- Saved roof scan reports and system sizing results
- Installer quote requests you initiate
- Subscription plan status
- App language preference
Content You Submit:
- Property address / location — used to retrieve satellite imagery for roof analysis
- AR scan data — captured on-device when measuring a roof without satellite coverage; processed to generate a roof model and not retained as raw sensor data
- Roof imagery — sent to our AI analysis pipeline (including Anthropic Claude API) for segmentation, panel layout, and shading analysis; images are not stored after processing beyond what's needed to generate your saved report
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store credit card information. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription entitlements.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide AI-powered roof scanning, solar system sizing, and energy output forecasts
- To generate PDF reports and connect you with installers on the marketplace
- To manage your account and subscription quota
- To improve the accuracy of roof segmentation and output forecasting models
- To authenticate your identity and prevent unauthorized access
- To send important service notifications (not marketing)
3. Third-Party Services
YeSolar uses the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:
- Supabase — authentication and database (GDPR compliant, EU data centers available). Privacy Policy
- Anthropic Claude API — AI processing of roof imagery and report generation. Privacy Policy
- Satellite & mapping imagery provider — supplies aerial imagery used for roof scanning
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store — app distribution and payment processing. Privacy Policy
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely in Supabase's encrypted database. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- JWT token-based authentication
- Row-level security policies in the database
- Raw AR scan data is not retained after a roof model is generated
5. Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active
- Quota usage records — reset monthly
- Saved roof reports — retained until you delete them or your account
- Raw AR scans — discarded once a roof model is generated; not stored
- Installer quote requests — retained while the request is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support purposes
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — update inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain types of processing

7. Children's Privacy
YeSolar is designed for homeowners and solar installation professionals and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
8. Installer & Marketplace Accounts
If you use YeSolar as an installer with marketplace access:
- Homeowner-submitted roof reports may be shared with you when a quote is requested
- Your business profile and ratings may be visible to homeowners browsing the marketplace
- Quote correspondence facilitated through the app may be retained for support and dispute resolution purposes
9. International Data Transfers
YeSolar is operated from Ukraine. Your data may be processed in various countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of YeSolar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
